Malcolm McLaren, the 'evil genius' behind the Sex Pistols did an odd mixture
of operatic and rock -maybe sometime in the mid '80s. Almost any kind of
pop-classical mix has been tried to see if it will generate money and/or
fame: Elvis singing words to a Beethoven concerto; Sinatra to a Brahms
symphony; Waldo de los Rios with Mozart's G minor symphony with a samba
bass; Chopin was only blowing bubbles etc. etc.: if you can imagine it,
someone else may well have also! john
