First off, I'm curious whether you have any MALE lyric soprano singers you
listen to. :)

Barbara Bonney
Ileana Cotrubas
Geraldine Farrar
Nuccia Focile
Alma Gluck
Lucia Popp
Bidu Sayao
Leontina Vaduva


For me, the definition of a lyric soprano is a soprano who will shine as
Mimi but who should not sing Tosca, one who'll dazzle as Desdemona but
should steer clear of Amelia, one who can seduce us as Massenet's Manon
but not as Puccini's.
