Hi KM and List,

(I'm curious: what type of singer is Church? Classical? I've only heard
her once when she sang at an awards show-BTW, I thought she sounded
wonderful) In any event, I was just using Church as an example. And I will
use her again . . . It is easier for me, and I suspect other listers, to
understand or relate to discussions about technique when I can visualize
well-known singers like Church, Carey, etc. as examples. (I'll admit I'd
never heard of whistle register until I read a post concerning Mariah
Carey's range). Now, I agree trumpeting singers is a waste of space (I get
enough about the Backstreet Boys from my kids). IMHO I don't think listers
should be discouraged from using pop, opera singers, et. al. in postings as
long as said singer enhances the post.
