Last year I caught the Broadcast of Andre Previn's opera "A Streetcar Named Desire" on PBS. It was the same thing, an opera sung in English with subtitles. I also saw part of Central Park last night and had a good chuckle at the subtitles. >>
Unfortunately, without the subtitles you would not have understood what was being sung by several of the lead characters.
