I find the soprano keys to be just a scoche too high in those books. In some
cases, I LIKE that the keys are not the same as in the shows, which is the
draw of the Musical Theater Anthology series ... would you rather play "I
loved you once in silence" in F or G-flat? Or would you want someone at an
audition to be sightreading it in G-flat? As someone said at the Miami
workshop, if they really really like you, they will transpose the song for
you if that's where it works best, so don't worry about keys!!
