I like all kinds of music (mostly) ... I like early Whitney but later Whitney
shows real vocal damage (in fact, I heard a clip of her counting down the New
Year and didn't know who it was till I walked in the room - I thought it was
a man with laryngitis!). Celine I don't like because I feel that her singing
all sounds the same - no subtleties (unless you count little whispery breathy
sound as subtle). And Mariah - well, again, I was impressed by early Mariah
but not her current incarnation!
