Hi Daniel - thanks for going to the effort of putting that up there. I did
listen and I must disagree with Axwell, at least in part. Whether or not
this is a whistle tone, I won't bother debating (I believe it is) However,
regardless of which register she is singing in, she is certainly hitting
very high notes and not notes considered to be "not that high" and "orindary
soprano register". She hits a C7 a couple times and is regularly hitting
G6, A6. B6, etc. which is high, very high, I'll give her that.

I, however, will reiterate my earlier point that extensive range does not
equal quality. She (or her managers) have created a frenzy about such high
notes which are unusual (though not unprecedented in the whistle register)
and have created a buzz about her "range". To think such ridiculous
statements such as a "7 octave range" have become part of her legend
indicates at least part of her appeal may not be due to her voice, but the
reported and much publicized uniqueness of her range, at least in pop
circles. High, yes. High quality, no. Popular, yes, but there's no
accounting for taste.

Best,
Jessica
