I've had the pleasure of hearing a very talented bassoonist perform a
transcription of Schubert's Der Hirt auf den Felsen for tenor, bassoon
and piano. She enjoyed working with the singer so much that she wants
to include something written specifically for bassoon obbligato (not
continuo) and voice. So far I've only found Murray Adaskin's Autumn
Song. Any suggestions out there for voice, bassoon and piano or small
instrumental ensemble?
